  • IOP | EMERGE CENTER

Intensive Outpatient Program An Intensive Outpatient Program, or IOP, is a type of mental healthcare that is a step above a regular session with a therapist once or twice a week but a step below the round-the-clock supervision of an inpatient program at a hospital or clinic. Clients who have been in residential care might build on the work done after they return home by participating in an IOP. The intensive part of an IOP is the frequency of treatment. Clients will meet with staff individually or participate in group sessions for approximately 10-15 hours over multiple days per week for the duration of the program (typically 8-12 weeks). EMERGE uses an integrated clinical model based on adolescent development, social and emotional learning and relationship psychodynamic theory. Our services include: Group Therapy Individual Therapy Family Therapy Mentoring and Coaching Psychological Assessment Psychiatric Treatment Adolescents grow in groups. While adults can be helpful in their journey, adolescents tune into each other more and take advice from each other more than from adults.* Our services build on the power of teen relationships by cultivating an honest environment where growth and healing can happen. As adolescents learn to take risks with each other, they take risks outside of group that lead to growth and development.
